AirCARE1 is pleased to announce the addition of a second Learjet 60 to their fleet of air ambulance aircraft. This new aircraft joins a fleet of company owned and operated aircraft that include Learjet 35/36A’s and a Learjet 60. The newly added Learjet 60 will perform medical transport flights throughout North, South and Central America including Alaska and the Caribbean as well as worldwide operations in the near future.
Over the last year, AirCARE1 has been upgrading their air ambulance fleet from Learjet 35/36s to Learjet 60s with the introduction of their first Learjet 60 in 2019. Plans are to replace their entire fleet to the Learjet 60 platform within the next two years.
The Learjet 60 has proven to be a superior platform for patient care and safety during air ambulance transports. This aircraft can accommodate 1 patient and 2 accompanying passengers. Its stand-up cabin provides additional room for medical crews to deliver patient care and a lavoratory for patient and family provides additional comfort. The Learjet 60 can reach its typical cruising altitude of 43,000 in less than fourteen minutes which reduces any potential turbulence for patients during this time.
Once at cruising altitude, the aircraft can reach speeds up to 525 mph with a total flight duration of five and a half hours. This allows AirCARE1 to provide non-stop coast to coast service for their patients. The features of this aircraft allow patients to fly in a comfortable and pleasant medical environment at life saving speeds to their destinations.
