Being the sole owner of AirCARE1 since 2014, Ms. Denise Waye has led her company to become a certified National Women’s Business Enterprise.
ALBUQUERQUE, NOVEMBER 22, 2016 – AirCARE1 has been certified as a woman owned business by the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC). AirCARE1, a long range air ambulance provider utilizing Learjet 35A’s to transport ill patients to domestic and international destinations, was founded in 2005 by Denise Waye, a critical care nurse and her partner, a pilot who was a retired Air Force Colonel. Ms. Waye and her partner wanted to provide a different and unique approach to patient care in the air.
Based in Albuquerque, New Mexico, AirCARE1 opened operations with one leased aircraft. In less than two years, operations were expanded to Phoenix, Arizona with another leased aircraft. Over the next few years, AirCARE1 replaced their leased aircraft with two company owned aircraft.
In 2014, Ms. Waye bought out her business partner and AirCARE1 became a 100% woman owned business. In 2015, under the leadership of Ms. Waye, AirCARE1 purchased a third aircraft to improve and expand their ability to service patients throughout the world.
AirCARE1 is pleased to be certified as a National Woman Owned Business as they continue to provide the best CARE in the air.
