The Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems will conduct an accreditation site visit of AirCARE1 on December 11th and 12th. The purpose of the site visit will be to evaluate the program’s compliance with nationally established medical transport standards. The site visit results will be used to determine whether, and the conditions under which accreditation should be awarded to the program. Denise Waye, owner and founder of AirCARE1 will be presenting a unique case study at the International Travel Insurance Conference in Berlin (ITIC) in November, regarding a medical repatriation from Peru to California. This transport proved to be both logistically and medically challenging. Ms. Waye will be discussing the hurdles that were faced before and during the transport and how AirCARE1 overcame these obstacles to complete a successful mission.
