About AirCARE1

Denise Waye, president and founder of AirCARE1, began her career as a critical care nurse and gained over 10 years of first hand patient care experience in that role. As an experienced critical care nurse, Denise saw that many patients needed specialized care which was not available locally and became interested in the medical transportation patient care.

With a love for both patient care as well as travel, Denise was able to land a job as a critical care nurse on an air ambulance; Denise’s former employer. As Denise worked for this air ambulance company, she saw various opportunities for improvement in patient care and presented these to her former boss. As time went by, Denise’s ideas and attempts to improve operations fell by the wayside and it was then she knew it was time to take matters into her own hands. With her passion, skills, and experience Denise founded AirCARE1 to make sure that patients received the highest quality of care while being transported via an air ambulance.

Since AirCARE launched over a decade ago, the company has expanded and now owns and operates a fleet of medically configured Learjets out of two bases in the United States. AirCARE1 has successfully transported many patients to and from Lima over the years and is able to transport patients throughout South America to destinations across the globe.

Patient Care System – Whenever we transfer patients, we put them in our proprietary LifePort patient care system where they are comfortably maintained and monitored until they are again transferred to their receiving bed at their destination. Our patient care system offers a safe and comfortable transport environment that is designed to preserve the patient’s strength and energy.

Monitoring Medical Equipment – Our critical care equipment provides the greatest level of uninterrupted monitoring ability even for the most critical and fragile patients. For detailed patient monitoring, we use the following equipment:

For infant patient monitoring, we use:

• Cross Vent 2i Ventilator
• Neonate Isollete

Patient Loading Utility System – When loading or unloading patients into our air ambulance, we use a patient care loading ramp system. It is well designed and customized to make the loading process fast, comfortable, and safe for our patients. This loading system helps to prevent wobbling, tilting, and tipping during the loading or unloading process. Moreover, the loading door is wider as compared to most aircraft doors to ensure the loading and unloading process is easier and safer.
