Patients and their families can trust AirCARE1’s experienced pilots and our medical in-flight staff who are trained to care for patients with a wide variety of medical conditions. Each member of our medical staff has at least three years of experience in critical care or in an ER setting. Our staff also takes classes to stay on top of the latest and best practices for delivering quality medical care. In addition, many of the professionals on our medical staff are also bilingual.
AirCARE1 can handle the transportation of patients or any age or type including:
As part of our state-of-the-art equipment on board all of our intensive care units, we have monitoring equipment specifically for these different patient types to ensure we can accommodate patients in all situations. Our staff is also trained to deliver holistic care to patients and their family members which includes hand massages, music and aromatherapy.
We load and unload our patients from our air ambulance in the fastest and safest way possible. We use a special loading ramp that safeguards against tilting and sudden movements. Our cargo doors are 30 percent wider than cargo doors typically used for loading to accommodate larger patients as well as allow for a safer loading process. Our aircraft are also all outfitted with business class executive interiors to ensure those traveling with the patient are as comfortable as possible.
Our fleet is composed of LearJet 35As. Since we use jets, which can fly at higher altitudes that turboprops, our patients experience smoother and quieter rides. Our jets have a range of about 2125 miles, which is helpful when our patients need to be transported a long distance with minimal stops for refueling.

Looking for an air ambulance in Peru? AirCARE1 provides air ambulance and medevac service to many cities in Peru. Here are just a few of the airports in Peru that we fly to:
There’s more to Peruvian culture than just Incan history and ancient ruins, in fact, it is a wildly diverse nation that has been influenced by the cultures of Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America. Peruvian food especially has been affected by the assortment of cultures that immigrated to Peru over the years and is celebrated as a tasty blend of Asian, European, and traditional South American cuisine. Spanish is still the official language of Peru though and is spoken by the majority of the population but the Incan language of Quechua can still be found and is spoken by more than 10% of the population. Just like the people, the wildlife of Peru are also incredibly diverse due to the country’s tropical location and the three vastly different regions contained in the country, namely the Pacific Coast, the Andes Mountain Range, and the Amazon Basin. It is a mistake to visit just Machu Picchu and Cusco and not the rest of these landscapes when visiting Peru.
US dollars are commonly accepted by businesses in certain areas accustomed to dealing with tourists but some shop owners won’t accept US bills or will accept them at an unfavorable exchange rate so it is often better to carry the Peruvian Sole currency with you anyway. Similarly, Peru uses somewhat comparable electrical outlets to the US but it is important to understand that many appliances won’t be able to handle the 220 V current in Peru and three pronged plugs won’t fit in the outlets so it’s better to come prepared and bring along an adapter just in case. While you are preparing for your trip also make sure to buy tickets in advance to important sites like Machu Picchu since many national parks and historic sites limit the number of visitors that can enter each day in order to protect the area. Remember that crime is common in much of South America and it is especially important to take precautions against theft. Try to avoid isolated areas near Peru’s borders as drug trafficking is common in these areas and hidden unexploded mines, bombs, and ammo from previous border wars can be set off unintentionally. Steer clear of isolated rural areas as well since they can harbor terrorists or be under martial law. Due to these dangers, it is smart to register with the US State Department’s Smart Traveler Enrollment Program at step.state.gov before leaving and keep the contact information for the US embassy in Lima handy in case anything goes wrong. Acquiring travelers insurance beforehand can also help with unforeseen troubles by reimbursing you for lost or stolen items and for medical expenses and transportation due to injury during your stay (start by visiting www.ustia.org).
