Several transport services are available for all clients who must travel for specialized or better medical care. AirCARE1 owns and operates our own fleet of private air ambulances for patients in need of a dedicated aircraft, pilots and specialized medical crew. For patients who are medically stable and do not require an air ambulance, we also provide a commercial medical escort option.
Air Ambulance Flights
Our air ambulance services transport patients while acting as a hospital ICU in the air. Flying ambulance services function like a medical facility on the ground instead of a ground ambulance, working to accommodate patients in non-emergency situations. An air ambulance provides the necessary support for patients while transferring them to a new hospital, relocating them for rehabilitation or returning them home for hospice care. Our crew is highly trained in medical care and sophisticated medical equipment to meet any patient’s needs.
Air ambulance services are designed for long-distance flights, helping patients travel from state to state or country to country. These flights are generally from one to six hours or over 350 miles. Our destinations include the United States, Canada, Central America, South America and the Caribbean Islands.
Air Medical Escorts
Our air medical escorts assist patients in more stable and non-critical conditions who can fly on a commercial airplane. This service is cost-effective for patients who need a medical companion on commercial flights. We have escorted patients who required:
- Skilled assistance for a chronic medical condition.
- Mental or physical health support when flying solo.
- Assistance to travel back home after getting sick while abroad.
- Aid for a sick or older adult when traveling a distance to visit family over the holidays.

Medical Air Transports
Medical air transport services are similar to air medical escorts but are done in a private setting. A patient may need medical air transport if they:
- Have a medical condition that makes commercial flying difficult.
- Need a less crowded or stimulating environment due to a mental health condition.
- Are immunocompromised and need to travel from one location to another.
Specialty Transports
AirCARE1 is an expert in performing specialty flights for various reasons. Our team consists of trained medical personnel for the following flights:
- Infectious disease transports: If a patient has COVID-19, SARS, H5N1, Ebola, or any other infectious disease, we can transfer them on a flight with our ISO-VAC portable patient isolation unit.
- ECMO transports: Extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO) transports provide specialized care for individuals with a severe heart or lung dysfunction risk.
- Mental health transports: Individuals with mental health or behavioral disorders that require specialized treatment can be privately transported to receive the care they need.
- Organ transplant flights: AirCARE1 is available 24/7 to provide quick and efficient patient transports to the location of their life-saving organ.

Our Fleet
AirCARE1 exclusively relies on Learjet aircraft for the transportation of our patients. Utilizing Learjet as an air ambulance provides our patients with safety, comfort and fast travel time during each transport. To ensure the highest standards of safety and comfort are met during every medical transport, AirCARE1 has made the investment to own and operate its own fleet as well as employ a dedicated maintenance team.
