As a Retired Paramedic/Firefighter with “Air Transport” experience, I knew what I was looking for in an Air Ambulance Service to Transport my beloved Brother.

I interviewed numerous Air Ambulance services and AirCARE1 came to the top of my list immediately. My family and I were in crisis mode yet, your staff was patient, answered all my questions articulately on multiple calls and built a level of confidence with me immediately.

Being away from home with a seriously ill and quickly deteriorating family member was a nightmare that lasted three-weeks. We didn’t think he would live without receiving definitive care only available at a handful of hospitals.

YOU received the “go ahead” very late last night to Transport from Phoenix to Portland, Oregon. The “available bed” we had waited weeks for would, “not be available tomorrow.” We KNEW if my Brother wasn’t transported TONIGHT, he would most likely not have another chance.

Incredibly, AirCARE1 made this emergency transport happen! Today, our family is still in shock that YOU came through for us when we needed you the most. My Brother is “elated” to be home and at a Hospital that can give him another chance at life. Blessings to you and your staff. Gratitude is too weak a word for what YOU have done.

Additionally, I just want to point out another reason why I was confident in your services. You hold a current WBENC Certification. I have been involved with WBENC since it’s inception, serving in many National Positions within the Organization and know you have been closely vetted as a “Woman-Owned Firm.”

Kudos to your CEO for taking the time and going through the process to become Certified. Please let her know, for me, this designation was a KEY consideration when selecting someone to Transport our most precious “Cargo,” my Brother.

I was not there when my sister was transported, but my three sisters who were, were very impressed with everyone, from door to door. I heard nothing but praise about the crew and nurses and paramedic on board. Everything that could be done, was done for her comfort. After three weeks at a hospital in Thailand we were scheduled to be escorted by their medical team. Our exceptional physician had great beside manners and our fantastic nurse had a genuine care for others. I not only appreciated their genuine care to ensure my husband’s safety was their first concern but also really touched by their sentiments to also check on me to ensure I was doing well too.

In one word, I would describe everyone from AirCARE1 as “awesome”. Their attentiveness continued all the way until we arrived at the hospital in California; where they handled all paper work, medication and getting us settled flawlessly. We felt as though we were with family and in good hands knowing that my husband’s care is being handled by a team of professional who really cared. I recently flew with my dad and some of your staff from Anchorage, Alaska to Pueblo, Colorado.  I just wanted you to know, your staff are awesome!  The pilots, paramedic and fight nurse all were very friendly and professional. The nurse especially made me feel very comfortable with the whole process – what a nice person to have on your staff.  Under the circumstances, I was VERY appreciative of the supportive attitude from all.  The flight was uneventful (other than the snowy beginning in Anchorage) and I am grateful for that. My dad is continuing to improve, though we know the road ahead will be long and difficult. From my incredible coordinator who helped me with quotes and got me the best possible rate, to the amazingly patient and kind two-person on-board medical team who monitored and calmed my mother through the flight, to the communications specialist, who kept me abreast of status of the transport the entire way. This was an unfortunate situation and you ALL made it so easy and so well executed. Please make sure all of their supervisors are aware of how wonderful our experience was. The company we chose, AirCARE1 International is based here in Phoenix and provided outstanding and complete service. All details were arranged by them which covered ambulance pickup at the farm in South Dakota to the airplane in Fargo, ND and from the plane arrival in Phoenix to my sister’s home in Surpirse. All personnel were caring professional and had my sisters care and comfort at the central focus.

While on the only “vacation” she has ever taken, our mother suffered a debilitating stroke (in California). How in the world would we get her home to Kansas?! She was on oxygen, had a feeding tube, was mostly unresponsive and at risk for another stroke.  A family member found AirCARE1 online and began exploring the process to transport her home to Wichita, KS. AirCARE1 took care of everything…Mom became very agitated and frightened when they began to load her on the aircraft, but the medical crew immediately addressed the issue and she calmed down.  One of my brothers was there and flew back with her…he said, “The crew was AWESOME, and the flight was smooth as silk.” (Of course, a beautiful day for flying over the Grand Canyon didn’t hurt either!)  Mom had always wanted to fly and to see the Grand Canyon…however, this wouldn’t have been her first choice for accomplishing this! We are grateful to AirCARE1 for their competence and professionalism in handling this situation for us.

I am writing to express my gratitude on behalf of the Merrill family. Your company transported my mother on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend this year from Palm Springs to Virginia. I was the family member that traveled with her that day, so I have first-hand knowledge of both my mother’s and my experience…which was fabulous! Everything about the trip was so thoughtfully designed and well-managed, that it was easier than any other air travel I have done in the last 15 years.

The ‘bed-to bed’ service was amazing—both ambulance service personnel (Palm Springs and Virginia) were prompt, efficient, and very careful of my mother during the transport on and off the plane and at the facilities. I also appreciated that all the paperwork had been handled ahead of time by your company, making it possible for me to just concentrate on my mother’s well-being.

The pilots were professional and friendly, inspiring both of us with complete confidence during the entire flight. The EMT was impeccably attentive—no sooner did my mother make any indication of need than he was right there to make adjustments for her care and comfort. The RN, was equally knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. You may recall that my mother had been concerned that she would feel unduly anxious during the flight and need a sedative, but because of the high quality of your staff my mother’s level of comfort was never an issue, nor did she require any medication during the trip. It was clear to me right from the start that if anything had happened medically during the flight, my mother was in the best of hands.

She is now happily ensconced in a better facility than we could provide her in Palm Springs. My brother lives only fifteen minutes away and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren also live relatively close, much to her delight! Thank you and your staff for making this move possible and for providing such excellent care before, during, and after the flight.

This is the first time I referred a patient to your company and must state that Denise and all the staff members have been compassionate, professional and a joy to work with since the onset of the referral process. The “courtesy calls” indicating flight departure, landing and completion of services and care are above and beyond the call of duty! Thank you very much for professionally flying us and mentoring my husband during our flight from Cabo to Fort Worth. This was our first flight experience, and hopefully our last, for a medical evacuation. Thanks to so many friends and acquaintances, he returned home and was admitted to the Hospital through the E.R. After many tests and visitations with doctors & nurses, he was able to return home Saturday night. We still have no answer as to the cause of the problem, but my husband is feeling fine. He has resumed his daily life and is feeling fit. Please accept our gratitude — I feel very confident that we were in good hands.

I wish our entire health care system could be operated by AirCARE1. When my father at age 85 fell, and was sent by ambulance to a hospital in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico, all we wanted for him was to air transfer him to a hospital near his home in Texas for his required surgery.

I contacted four different services for quotes and timing of evacuation, and this company was the only one that could execute same day transfer.

Not only were they extremely professional, efficient, communicative, but they got the job done on-time, same day and faster and more thorough than I could have hoped for, which is all you want when you are trying to air ambulance someone back. I had updates at every stage of the transfer with full details of what was happening. I was never placed on hold or had to leave a message; I spoke directly with the person coordinating the transfer each time I need to speak with an actual person. The bi-lingual air crew (nurse and paramedic) moved through each obstacle (in our case at both hospitals, as we were held up for doctors’ orders and release paperwork and again at the admitting hospital stateside who claimed they knew nothing about the admission for the patient who had already been cleared for arrival) and had all required paperwork organized and executed in spite of all the chaos on both ends of the spectrum. I am so relieved we chose AirCARE1 and only wish they could serve as a model for our health care professionals.

It was so delightful to work with the AirCARE1 team. They were so knowledgeable, efficient, and FRIENDLY. As soon as AirCARE1 was involved in this very complicated discharge, things just got smoother and more organized! Thank you very much for your services.
